The origin of the word shampoo comes from a Hindi word 'champi'. Massage therapy can also target myofascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles. When a muscle is damaged, this tissue can become tight and inflamed. Knots called trigger points may form in myofascia that has been chronically tight.
